Remembering the King of Pop

Today, the world celebrates the life and accomplishments of Michael Jackson after he abruptly died after cardiac arrest. Michael Jackson erupted on to the professional music scene at the age of 11 as a member of The Jackson 5 and emerged as one of the most dominant figures in popular music, winning 13 Grammy Awards and releasing 13 number one singles in his solo career—-more than any other male artist in the Hot 100 era.

Despite his controversial past, there has been no denying his ability to transcend cultural and racial boundaries to establish himself as one of the greatest entertainers of all time. Through the novelty of his music videos airing on MTV and his memorable stage performances, he popularized several physically complicated dance techniques, including the moonwalk and the robot. His unique vocal style and sounds have also greatly influenced todays hip-hop, pop, and contemporary artists.

As people across the globe are mourning the tremendous loss of the pop icon, you can commemorate his contributions to the entertainment industry with a subtly imprinted fedora--a trademark of his renowned outfits.
