Aviation History Month

November houses man’s first flight. Fascinatingly enough, the emergence of the airplane came about by brothers attempting something highly unimaginable and unprecedented. Before the late 18th century the only flying objects were the birds in the sky. Through the experimentation of the Montgolfier brothers, the hot air balloon was invented (the oldest archetype for human flying devices) and on November 21, 1783, in Paris, France, the first manned flight was taken. Then the Wright brothers created the first successful airplane (December 17, 1903).

The evolution of the airplane can be celebrated during Aviation History Month and beyond by reading books on aviation, visiting your local aviation museum, building a model aircraft with your family or evening taking some flying lessons.

Consider how far we have come in the travel industry. Enjoying learning about the world’s advancements in human-carrying flight technology!
