World Environment Day

June 5th is designated by the United Nations' Environment Program as World Environment Day. The purpose of the holiday is to stimulate awareness of the importance and fragility of the environment and to encourage politcal and social action. This year, the main celebrations of the holiday are being celebrated in New Zealand. The last time the main celebration was held in the United States was in 2005 in San Francisco.

There are many ways to get involved and advance the cause of this holiday. The World Environment Day website even has a schedule of all the activities planned in respective cities across the globe. This day is a great chance for your company to demonstrate its commitment to the global community through ecologically-friendly products, or promotional t-shirts to spread awareness even after the day is over.
