Christmas Seal Campaign

seals_girl[1].jpg

Christmas Seal Campaign, lasting from October 1 to December 31, is an American tradition dating back to 1907. The annual campaign is a major support of the American Lung Association programs dedicated to fighting lung diseases such as asthma, emphysema, tuberculosis, lung cancer and their causes.

This campaign first started as an effort to raise money for the creation of tuberculosis hospitals, at a time when people did not consider tuberculosis a curable disease and tuberculosis hospitals were unheard of. Initially, Christmas seals started being sold to help finance one tuberculosis hospital that would have closed down were it not for profits made from these seals.

Use promotional lung shaped stess balls to educate about the causes of lung diseases.

National School Bus Safety Week

school-bus-resized.jpg

Over 23 million students nationwide begin and end their day with a trip on the school bus. Riding the bus itself is not as risky as approaching and leaving one. During the third week of October parents are encouraged to review and teach their kids school bus safety rules. This is particularly important when children go back to school or start school for the first time. A few precautions may prove to save lives and prevent serious injury in the future. So "Be Aware! Cross with Care."

Take the stress out of school bus safety with promotional school bus stress balls.

If you have useful school bus safety tips, we'd like to hear them.

National Business Women's Week

nat-business-women's-day.jpg

In 1928 President Herber Hoover designated the third week of October as National Business Women's Week. This week celebrates the contributions of working women to the American society, economy and family. The objectives of the week, which have been heavily promoted by Business and Professional Women/USA (BPW/USA), are to promote full participation and equity for women in the workplace as well as publicize the achievements of professional women.

Celebrate this event by letting the women in your life and workplace know how much you value their accomplishments. Promotional heart shaped stress balls or key chains are another great idea.

Is there a professional woman making your world go round? We'd like to know about her accomplishments.

National Boss Day

Today is the day to thank your boss for all of his or her hard work. The hard work that a boss puts in may often be overlooked. However, studies show that a positive supervisor-employee relationship is the single most important element to contribute to job satisfaction.

Employees can celebrate this holiday by being particularly nice to their supervisors or giving them a card or a small gift. Supervisors can use this day to remind employees of what great bosses they make by giving out promotional stress balls or promotional food items.

Is your boss praise-worthy? Do you have a great story about your amazing boss? We'd like to hear about it.
