America Recycles Day is November 15th of every year. Recycling is just as important as brushing your teeth; it should be everyday. Can you imagine brushing your teeth only once a year? Of course not! We all brush our teeth twice a day, some even brush three times a day!
The amount of garbage disposed everyday has increased over the years. From individually packaged foods to disposable diapers, the average American disposes 7.5 pounds of waste everyday. This garbage is a solid waste stream which goes mostly to landfills, where it's compacted and buried. As the waste stream grows larger, the more pressure is put on our landfills, resources, and enviornment.
Recycling is one of the easiest ways to help slow down climate change and global warming. The amount of time it takes to seperate all your plastic bottles, newspapers, aluminum cans, glass containers, and unwanted papers, from your regular garbage could save us a ton of energy, which in return will save us a ton of money.
It is our responsibility to preserve and protect our resources for ourselves and for our future generations. We are all in this together. Promote recycling and the importance of it by marking it down on custom imprinted calendars. Don't forget to get the kids involved! ePromos' promotional coloring books are a perfect way to educate children while making it fun. For more ideas on how to promote a more eco-friendly enviornment, check out our recycled promotional products. FYI, the more we re-use, the less we abuse!
